Reviving the dead

The second berachah of shemonah esrei is the blessing that states HaShem resurrects or revives the dead. Taken on a simpler level, we can understand this blessing to be thanking HaShem for always raising us up each day from our lowly state (akin to death) to an elevated spiritual state from which we can learn Torah and perform mitzwoth.
