don't get mad, get rich

You want wealth? Don't get angry.

When one gets angry, one loses out on wealth. This is because when there is an influx of wealth meant for a person, the yetzer wants to get ahold of this influx, and so by angering the person redirects the influx to itself instead. (Rebbe Nachman, in Likkutei Moharan I:59:5)

You want power? Don't get angry.

But when one abstains from anger, then all the neshamot seek him out and want to be close to him.
(Rebbe Nachman, in Likkutei Moharan I:59:5)
