HaShem relates to each of us in the same way that we relate to Him. But, it's always the same HaShem relating to each of us. This is why He appeared to each of the Avot as א-ל ש-ד-י, to show that He remains unchanged, even though the three Avot related through three different middot. (חסד, גבורה, תפארת) This is also the reason why the name normally associated with Din (דין) Elokim is not used here, because the name has a plural connotation, and here God is emphasizing His unchanging oneness.(Noam Elimelech פרשת וארא)
