When you ask someone what time it is, and you are surprised by the late hour, do you look at the watch or the clock yourself, do you look for another clock to double-check the time? Why is that more real, or more trustworthy than the first, or than the person telling you?
Where are we putting our faith?
When we fall do we cry out to HaShem, or do we grasp vainly at things out of reach?
If we stop to really think about it, we put an awful lot of trust in the world of the immediate vicinity.
