changing face

i've started refacing my blog, so it blends with the rest of my site and so that it doesn't look so much like the boring template that i started from. then again, blogger is now in beta on a whole new layout system, so i'm not sure if i was stupid that i didn't wait. anyways, let me know if you have any opinions.
